【摘要】:pHisameasureofthehydrogenionconcentrationandindicateswhetheranenginecoolant,antirust,orasolutionofthesecompoundsisacidic,alkaline,orneutral.ThepHrangeincludesvaluesfrom0to14.Valuesfrom0to7representtheacidichalfofthescale.Valuesfrom7to14representthealkalineorbasichalfofthescale.ThepHvalue7isconsideredneutral,asitisneitheracidicnoralkaline.pHissometimesusedforproductionqualitycontrol.ItisgenerallydesirablethatenginecoolantshaveanalkalinepH.pHisnotsignificantfromthestandpointofpredictingservicelife.ThepHofusedenginecoolantsorantirustsolutionsisnotadependableindicationofeitherexistingeffectivenessorremaininglifeofthesolution.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthepHofunusedenginecoolantsandantirusts,andusedorunusedaqueousdilutionsoftheconcentratedproducts.Note18212;Antirustsinsolidformarenotincludedinthistestmethod.Note28212;ItisbelievedthatthisproceduregivesalltheinformationrequiredfordeterminingthepHofsamplesofenginecoolantorantirustlikelytobeencountered.ShouldadditionalinformationonpHdeterminationsbeneeded,referenceshouldbemadetoTestMethodE70.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
