【摘要】:ThistestmethodprovidesameansofverifyinginstrumentalignmentinordertoquantifyandminimizesystematicexperimentalerrorinX-raydiffractionresidualstressmeasurement.ThismethodissuitableforapplicationtoconventionaldiffractometersortoX-raydiffractioninstrumentationofeitherthedivergingorparallelbeamtypes.,Applicationofthistestmethodrequirestheuseofaflatspecimenofstress-freematerialthatproducesdiffractionintheangularregionofthediffractionpeaktobeusedforstressmeasurement.Thespecimenmustbesufficientlyfine-grainedandisotropicsothatlargenumbersofindividualcrystalscontributetothediffractionpeakproduced.Thecrystalsmustprovideintensediffractionatallanglesoftilt,x03C8;,whichwillbeemployed(seeNote1).Note18212;Completefreedomfrompreferredorientationinthestressfreespecimenis,however,notcriticalintheapplicationofthetechnique.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthepreparationanduseofaflatstress-freetestspecimenforthepurposeofcheckingthesystematicerrorcausedbyinstrumentmisalignmentorsamplepositioninginX-raydiffractionresidualstressmeasurement,orboth.1.2ThistestmethodisapplicabletoapparatusintendedforX-raydiffractionmacroscopicresidualstressmeasurementinpolycrystallinesamplesemployingmeasurementofadiffractionpeakpositioninthehigh-backreflectionregion,andinwhichthex03B8;,2x03B8;,andx03C8;rotationaxescanbemadetocoincide(seeFig.1).1.3Thistestmethoddescribestheuseofironpowderwhichhasbeeninvestigatedinround-robinstudiesforthepurposeofverifyingthealignmentofinstrumentationintendedforstressmeasurementinferriticormartensiticsteels.Toverifyinstrumentalignmentpriortostressmeasurementinothermetallicalloysandceramics,powderhavingthesameorlowerdiffractionangleasthematerialtobemeasuredshouldbepreparedinsimilarfashionandusedtocheckinstrumentalignment.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
