【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratorydeterminationofhigh-temperaturehigh-shear(HTHS)viscosityofengineoilsatatemperatureof150?Cusingamulticellcapillaryviscometercontainingpressure,temperature,andtiminginstrumentation.Theshearrateforthistestmethodcorrespondstoanapparentshearrateatthewallof1.4millionreciprocalseconds(1.4x10s).Thisshearratehasbeenfoundtodecreasethediscrepancybetweenthistestmethodandotherhigh-temperaturehigh-sheartestmethodsusedforengineoilspecifications.ViscositiesaredetermineddirectlyfromcalibrationsthathavebeenestablishedwithNewtonianoilswithviscositiesfrom2to5mPaúsat150?C.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
